Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use my own clinic labels?
Yes. Our labels are intentionally unbranded, with your
details listed as the practitioner so your patients only associate their
prescriptions with your clinic, and not some 3rd-party dispensary.
If you’d like to strengthen your branding even further,
you’re welcome to send us your own labels or stickers, and we’ll happily apply
them to all your patient orders at no extra cost.
For our Diamond Partner Practitioners (total
spend over $6,000), we also offer a complimentary label printing service, where
we can print your clinic logo or text directly onto our labels.
What should I charge my patient for their prescriptions?
Unlike other online dispensaries, we don’t typically collect payment from your patients. Since we also use unbranded labels, and never post out receipts, our services as your supplier are always 100% hidden. This gives you full control to set your own retail pricing and receive your margins immediately.
In our experience, most practitioners charge around $65 for a 200mL liquid herbal formula, or $160 for a 500mL formula, with a surcharge for premium herbs. Don’t forget to add on the cost of postage—$8.90 for 1 bottle, or $11.90 for express.
You collect payment directly from your patient, then pay us the wholesale price. The difference between your retail price and our wholesale price is your margin.
Your margin reflects the time, expertise, and clinical judgement involved in preparing your patient’s prescription.
For compounds, we offer a free compounding calculator to help you determine the cost in advance.
How do practitioners usually handle patient payments?
There are a few simple ways practitioners choose to handle
patient payments:
1. FIXED RETAIL PRICE (recommended for simple orders)
Charge a standard price for common formulas (e.g. $160 for a 500mL herbal mixture). Since you know your retail price in advance, you can collect payment at the time of the consultation or shortly afterwards. Once payment has been received, simply place the order with us at the wholesale price.
2. SIMPLE MARKUP (recommended for complex orders)
Place the order with us as normal and select Bank Transfer / PayID at checkout. We will hold your order for up to 7 days, giving you time to confirm your retail price and collect payment from your patient. Once they have paid you, simply transfer the wholesale amount to us and we will process the order.
This method works well for complex prescriptions or formulas containing premium ingredients, where the final retail price may vary.
3. FORWARD OUR INVOICE (when no markup is needed)
You can also forward our invoice to your patient to pay us directly. However, this will reveal us as your supplier and the wholesale price will be visible, meaning you won’t be able to apply a markup.
This option can be used for family or friends, or when practitioners prefer not to manage the payment themselves.
Do patients see Inner Bloom on the packaging?
No. Our bottles, labels and packaging, are 100% unbranded, and we write your name on the label as the prescribing practitioner.
This keeps the experience professional and centred around your clinic.
We never post out receipts/invoices and never contact your patients.
Who can register for an account? Students?
Our dispensary is available to naturopaths, herbalists, nutritionists, integrative health practitioners, and final-year students enrolled in clinical placement.
To register, simply complete the practitioner registration form and upload proof of qualification. Once approved, you’ll gain access to wholesale pricing and practitioner ordering.
Please note, we do not differentiate between student and practitioner accounts. Access is the same–the onus is on you to prescribe appropriately.
Do you ship Australia-wide? Internationally?
We ship orders Australia-wide through Australia Post.
Shipping costs are automatically calculated at checkout and are based on weight. Pricing starts at $8.90 for Regular Post (1x item), up to a maximum of $19.90 for Express Post (4+ items).
We also ship internationally at competitive rates. Please email us for any international orders.
How do I pay with PayID?
Through your online banking—you simply choose the option to pay to a PayID (our mobile number) instead of a BSB and account number. Our details will then pop-up before you confirm the payment.
You don't need to have PayID set up for yourself to be able to use it. It is safe, secure and instant.
How do you package the orders? Is it environmentally friendly?
We are dedicated to minimising our environmental impact and strive to make our packaging as eco-friendly as possible.
All glass bottles are wrapped in recycled cardboard and eco-friendly honeycomb wrap for extra protection.
For shipping, we use Australia Post satchels made from 80% recycled plastic. Occasionally, we may use bubble wrap and/or packing peanuts if we receive products packaged this way from our suppliers, as we prefer to reuse them rather than dispose of them.
What are 'Fresh Plant Tinctures'?
Whilst we mostly stock the traditional extracts (MediHerb, OptimalRx, and the Herbal Extract Co) which are made from dried plant material, we also stock some of the PPC 'Fresh Plant Tincture' range. These are made from fresh plant material taken straight from the field into processing without drying.
The plant material is all grown and processed locally in Australia (certified organic), with the extraction process taking place within hours of harvest. The main benefit of this is it preserves more of the plant's energetics, aromatics, volatiles.
Fresh Plant Tinctures are prescribed the same as traditional extracts, and can be mixed and interchanged as normal.
Do you sell direct to the public?
Our dispensary is a practitioner-only service, supplying Naturopaths, Nutritionists, and Integrative Health Practitioners on behalf of their patients. However, we understand that sometimes the public may need direct or alternative access to certain products.
If you have a prescription that needs filling, please email us a copy (must include the specific ingredients + quantities) together with your Health Practitioner's contact details to obtain their consent, as we aim to respect and support existing practitioner-patient relationships.
